BNP Leadership Election 2011 – NOW WITH ELECTION BROADCAST

Andrew Brons MEP (left) with supporters: Richard Edmunds (BNP founding member) and Ken Booth (former NE Regional Organiser)

There will be a leadership election this year and it will be fought between the current leader, Nick Griffin MEP and the only challenger, Andrew Brons MEP.

Both candidates will be fighting for the votes of the party’s membership, however one candidate will have to fight a lot harder due to the punitive campaigning restrictions which have been put in place.

Candidates have been barred from attending meetings to speak to the members and get their points across, why this is the case in a democratic election within the self-proclaimed ‘most democratic party’ of Britain, is yet to be understood.

This means that once again via official BNP media outlets including the website, Griffin has retained his monopoly over the dissemination of views that the members will be able to base their decisions on. – The obscurely named ‘Way Forward’ meetings were also said to have been used by the chairman to strengthen his position.

Despite the suffocating rules surrounding this election, many high profile BNP members and officials have came out with vocal support for Andrew, many of whom can be seen on the broadcast at the foot of this article.

Those notable party members include Lancashire county and Burnley borough Councillor Sharon Wilkinson, Rev. Robert West, Arthur Kemp, Martin Wingfield – former editor of the Voice of Freedom, John Bean –  The editor of Identity Magazine and many more including Regional Organisers and former Regional Organisers.

The announcement of a leadership election had became a rarity in the modern day BNP due to the ridiculous amount of signatures (around 800 last year) a candidate had to collect – a measure imposed by Griffin and made virtually impossible by undemocratic campaigning rules.

In Newcastle upon Tyne, the general consensus has been for a very long time that Griffin needs to stand aside, and it was discussed at local meetings.

When former North East Regional Organiser Ken Booth was asked to comment he quite simply said, “I’m supporting Andrew and the British National Party.”

It is the view amongst many within the region, that Ken was unfairly dismissed from his position after he was sacked on the morning of an Advisory Council meeting that he had requested.

Ken planned to take along a chartered accountant willing to work for free in order to scrutinise the party’s financial accounts – Ken was not allowed to attend that meeting.

Dissatisfaction with the incumbent chairman has made Newcastle’s candidate count plummet from twenty-four to eleven, with many stating that they will not stand again until “Griffin is gone”.

Despite this, the party still managed three second places within Newcastle (Elswick, Byker and Benwell & Scotswood) which is a testament to the hard work put in by almost disintegrating teams of activists.

The challenger, Andrew Brons MEP’s 500 word statement can be read here.

The Newcastle Patriot urges all of those who are eligible to vote, to vote for Andrew Brons MEP – It is the view of this editor that a ceiling of support has been reached under Nick Griffin and the party is now taking huge strides backwards in membership, financial and electoral terms.

All voting members are also urged to attend the hustings in the North East region, for which they should have received the arrangements by post.

Vote for a change which is desperately needed. Vote for Andrew Brons MEP.

The Newcastle Patriot has decided not to ask Andrew Brons for comment as a communication of any substance may be seen as breaking ‘electoral’ rules.

Lib Dem Vote To Collapse – A Message From Newcastle BNP

Election fever is gripping the nation as British National Party Activists are out in force. With the predicted COLLAPSE of the LibDem vote in the West end of Newcastle, there has never been a better time to get yourself out with the activists whilst we try and take back our city from the corrupt politicians who are giving it away lock, stock and barrel.

There are lots you can do, whether it’s leafleting, canvassing, driving, manning stalls or even just coming along to see how everything works. Every little really does help, and in these elections ONE VOTE can win it (or lose it as we have unfortunately already seen).

Although to many who have never done it, canvassing can seem daunting, but from experience, there is nothing more rewarding than being warmly received on nearly every doorstep – A situation which is becoming more and more common.

So please, lend a hand, if only for an hour or two. Play a part in securing our homeland and taking back our city – and meet some good friends along the way.

Just get in touch with Ken on 07954 434173 for more information or to lend a hand.

And don’t forget our monthly Newcastle meeting is on Tuesday 26th April at 7.30 pm. Again, call Ken for more information.

Remember, many hands make light work. We don’t have trade unions ploughing millions of pounds of their members’ money into us like the Labour party – We don’t have huge multi-national corporations funding us like the Tories and we don’t have rich Conservative Party members, making 7 figure donations to us like the establishment sponsored pressure valve UKIP, which only exists to take away BNP votes.

It is because of this that we rely on the hard work of ordinary people, like you and me, who just want what is best for themselves, their family, their friends and their countrymen.

Election Fever Hits Newcastle upon Tyne

Teams of canvassers and leafleters are out in force around Newcastle, giving people a real choice these coming  elections.

The British National Party hold a huge amount of support in Newcastle’s West end, mostly from the natives who have been abandoned, only to watch their home colonised by members of the third world, before being labelled a ‘racist’ for not supporting the transformation.

As well as improving on the results in the West end (a difficult task due to the continuing population and cultural shift), the local branch are keen to improve results in surrounding wards – the areas considered to be next in the council’s sights for ‘enrichment’.

Newcastle organiser, Ken Booth has told the Patriot, “The word on the doorstep is that the Lib Dem vote is due to collapse and it is imperative that it is the BNP who pick up these floating votes.

The only way this is possible is by getting out on the street and helping the cause.”

If anybody would like to help Ken and the team, if only for an hour or two, get in touch on 07954434173

Newcastle’s Lib Dem Council Wastes Millions Of Pounds Of Your Money

It has been reported that Newcastle’s Lib Dem controlled council has spent £10.5million on external help over the last financial year which included nearly £6million on ‘consultants’.

Schemes which have had money wasted on hired help include moving books from storage to the city library and the £22million purchase of the former Northern Rock Tower.

Newcastle British National Party organiser, Ken Booth spoke to the Newcastle Patriot: “Employees in the public sector are facing pay cuts, pay freezes and even redundancy and the council have the audacity to waste such a substantial amount of money on things they should already have people employed to do.”

Labour opposition leader on the council, Nick Forbes has also condemned the spending.

Ken continued, “It’s all good and well councillors like Nick Forbes speaking out against things like this, but maybe if he did the job he was elected to do and actually attended council meetings more than the shoddy 67% of the time that he has since July, he could have had more of a say in what was going on.

“I don’t think he cares to be brutally honest.”

The disgraceful attendance is a common theme amongst some councillors with a Lib Dem Fenham councillor, Mitzi Emery showing up to a miserable 33% of meetings within the latter half of last year.

Gosforth Man In Court Over Abusing Dementia Patients

Makurah In Court Over Abusing Patients

Dennis Makurah of Links Green, Gosforth will stand trial for violently abusing vulnerable dementia sufferers in Palmer Community Hospital, Jarrow.

Makurah has been charged with three offences of wilfully neglecting a patient without capacity between September 19th and September 24th, a second patient during October and a third during November.

Prosecutors say he mistreated the patients in a violent manor.

Lee Poppet, prosecuting said, “Due to the seriousness of the allegations, this is a case that is only suitable to be heard at Newcastle Crown Court and I invite magistrates to commit the case to that court.”

A spokesman for the Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust said: “As soon as the situation came to light we immediately suspended the member of staff concerned and referred the matter to Northumbria Police.”

Makurah has been bailed providing he lives at his home address and does not contact any witnesses.

West End Rapist Jailed

Sayad Jan, formerly of Fenham, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for the brutal rape of a 21 year old woman in Nuns Moor Park.

For nine years, Jan has remained at large, however after an arrest for an offence near his new Derbyshire home his DNA was matched to the rape.

In court he was told, “You forced her to the ground, held her down and raped her.

“She struggled but you persisted, injured her and exposed her to the risk of an unwanted pregnancy by a rapist.”

Before the incident, the victim had heard Jan saying how white women would do anything for money so she tried to avoid him but was attacked.

Newcastle Central’s British National Party candidate in May, Ken Booth spoke earlier to the Newcastle Patriot, saying:

“People like this are a danger to the public.

“Nine years, especially since people rarely serve their full sentences, is far too short.

“This man should be sent back to his country of origin to serve his sentence there instead of being a burden on hard working British taxpayers.”

Unfortunately, the vile rapist will probably only serve half of his sentence as a reward for following prison rules before being released back onto the streets of England.

Newcastle’s Lib Dem & Labour Councillors Give Council Boss £5,000 Pay Hike

Almost £5,000 has been added to the £160,500 salary of Newcastle city council’s chief executive, Barry Rowland after an appraisal panel made up of Labour and Lib Dem councillors in the city agreed that he deserved it.

The panel was made up of David Faulkner (council leader, Lib Dem – Fawdon ward), Anita Lower (deputy leader, Lib Dem – Castle Ward) and Nick Forbes (opposition leader, Labour – Westgate Ward)

The pay rise has been met with disgust from the general public, especially since many public sector workers have had their pay frozen for two years.

Anita Cooper, The British National Party’s prospective local candidate for the Fawdon Ward told the Patriot of her disgust:

“It is ridiculous that somebody with an already obscene salary compared to most, has been given a pay increase at a time when over 2000 public sector jobs are due to be cut.

“What is even more disgusting is that it is our elected representatives who people have put their trust in who are making these decisions.

“Anybody with an ounce of common sense or even compassion would realise that this is just not right.”

Labour opposition leader Nick Forbes has only bothered to show up to council meetings a very uninspiring 65% of the time in the last six months.

This however is a recurring theme with Forbes having attended only 68% of the time in the six months previous to June and a pitiful 65% for the twelve month period before that.

Illegal Immigrants Caught En Route To The North East

Seven African Illegal Immigrants have been found in lorries carrying machine parts which were destined for the North East.

One lorry on its way to Washington was searched in Calais and turned up three people from Eritrea trying to sneak into the country.

The vehicle was registered in Romania and it is not known whether the driver was offered money or goods in return for aiding the illegal immigrants.

A Gateshead bound lorry was also stopped where four people, also from the North African country, were found hiding.

As they were discovered before the lorries were on English soil, the clandestines remained in France.

The fact that seven individuals who’s criminal, behavioural and psychological past is a mystery will now not be able to hide under the radar whilst walking the streets of the North East will be comforting to some – however, it makes little difference when there are estimated to be millions already hiding in Britain.

Newcastle MPs’ Snouts Still Stuck In The Expenses Trough

After the huge expenses scandal which made headlines everywhere, (and which was uncovered by BNP candidate Michael Barnbrook, obviously without media recognition) MP’s still seem to be needlessly dipping into the tax trough.

A good example of this is Newcastle Central’s Labour MP, Chinyelu Onwurah who has claimed over a whopping £8,300 and that was just in the first 3 months after being elected.

Many of her constituents, especially those who voted her in to do a job were appalled to hear that within her first week after being elected, she refused to undertake her duties in parliament to elect a new speaker with her fellow MPs and instead thought it would be more fun to stay in Newcastle ‘playing bingo’.
Her expense claims during the three months after election range from inconsiderate to what the majority of people think should be called theft from the taxpayer and illegal.
Onwurah had the audacity to claim twice in July for “Food & Drink @ Parliament” at a time when many are struggling to feed their families thus deeming her £65,000 salary not enough to buy her food with.
Other dubious claims include numerous taxi fares (a luxury that many can not afford) costing £5.00 each to Newcastle Central Station, despite there being good bus routes to the city centre, usually costing no more than £1.50.
Claims which could be considered even more disgraceful than those already mentioned, include a claim for £756.46, described as “Council Tax For 2010″.
Onwurah was only elected five months into 2010 so why she feels it is acceptable to claim money from your taxes to pay her taxes, before she was even elected, begs belief if her descriptions are correct.
A similar swindle is also evident when she put in a claim for £334.71 which was described as “Water For 2010″ – more than what many people can afford for water when not faced with the luxury of using other people’s money.

One local BNP activist told the Newcastle Patriot, “When out leafleting in the Gosforth area of Newcastle before the election, I saw Miss. Onwurah driving about in her convertible sports car.

“I tried to flag her down as I was curious about where she stood on various issues but unfortunately she either didn’t see me or just completely ignored me.

“I bet she would have still taken my vote if I had offered it to her though.”

MPs’ expenses can be found here.

In May 2010, the British National Party contested the Newcastle Central constituency for the first time in it’s history with Ken Booth gaining 2,302 votes – coming fourth and polling more than the Green Party and UKIP put together.
